Work-Related Questions:

1. How many times a day or week do you communicate with clients? Operators?

Evan Poole: I communicate daily with our clients, fostering open and thorough communication. I am also in constant contact with the Operators we are auditing to maintain an open line of contact ensuring a smoother audit.

2. Can you tell us about your background and journey that led you to your current position at Poole Audit?

Evan Poole: I'm a third-generation member of the Poole Audit team. My journey began at a young age when I conducted my first full audit on SAP at Chevron at the age of 19 while I was in college.

3. What is your current role and specific responsibilities as a part of the management team?

Evan Poole: As the COO, I handle the day-to-day operations of all audit processes on a management level. This includes but isn’t limited to overseeing the project progress, coordinating team members, and ensuring that the project stays on track. I am responsible for the initial review of the work done by the team, ensuring its alignment with project goals and quality standards. I also review and approve all of the final reports, ensuring that they accurately reflect the findings and meets the client's expectations.

4. How do you integrate team-building activities or events that align with the interests of your team members?

Evan Poole: I gather personal feedback from the staff to understand their interests and experiences. This helps us plan events that appeal to everyone and we make an effort to consider personal interests when scheduling work-related travel.

5. Are there any skills or lessons you've learned that you apply to problem-solving or decision-making in your role as a leader?

Evan Poole: Never make a decision based solely on the emotions of the moment. Always allow the situation to rest for some time. There's usually no need to provide an immediate answer unless there's a specific deadline.
