1. Can you tell us about your background and journey that led you to your current position at Poole Audit?
Emily Boone: I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. I have been an auditor at Poole Audit for 8 years. Prior to joining Poole Audit I worked at Chevron. At Chevron I worked on Major Capital projects as a project coordinator. My role at Chevron consisted of manpower forecasting for the many phases within MCP’s, coordinated weekly leadership meetings, invoice processing, developed monthly cost reports or working interest owners, and developed an office space plan to accommodate for the projects projected growth.
2. What is your current role and specific responsibilities as a part of the management team?
Emily Boone: I am a Senior auditor and an Audit host on behalf of our Operators. I am also the Petroleum Accountants Society Audit Committee Chair.
3. What do you believe sets Poole Audit apart from its competitors in the industry?
Emily Boone: Poole Audit always puts our clients’ needs and interest above all else. Whether it’s an urgent email at 5pm on a Friday afternoon or an ongoing acquisition that takes months to close out. The needs of our clients always remain top priority.
4. How long have you been with Poole Audit?
Emily Boone: 6 years and 2 additional years prior to Chevron.

5. Outside of work, how do you like to spend your free time? Do you have any hobbies or passions that you pursue?
Emily Boone: Outside of work I am a wife and a mom to two crazy toddlers. I have recently hoped on the sourdough bandwagon which has been fun and challenging. I enjoy baking, riding my peloton, and spending time with my husband and kids.
6. Are there any specific activities or sports that you enjoy participating in or watching during your leisure time?
Emily Boone: I am a huge sports fan. We are avid Houston Astros fans and Football season is the best time of year.
7. How do you find a balance between your professional responsibilities and personal interests?
Emily Boone: In all honesty, Poole Audit allows its employees to have the best work life balance. They are very accommodating when life happens, and I couldn’t be more grateful for that.
